The work is to find the transition that companies and experienced workers actually need.

I am speaking with companies about how generative AI is changing their roles, where they need experienced people, and what would make a workforce transition useful to both the worker and the employer.

Research questions

Four questions have to be answered before a responsible launch.

The current work starts with the job to be done, not with a course catalogue or a promise that has not been tested.

  1. 01
Which roles are changing first?Identify where AI is removing tasks, redesigning jobs, or creating pressure to reorganize work.
  2. 02
Where do companies need experienced people?Map the implementation, governance, operating, and transformation work that requires business context as well as AI capability.
  3. 03
What is the smallest credible skill bridge?Separate what a person already knows from what they must learn for one specific destination role.
  4. 04
What makes the move succeed after hiring?Understand the support a worker and employer need during the early months of a changed role.

Current work

The research is moving from a broad problem toward a testable first transition.

The first useful version should serve one clear group of workers and employers well. It should not pretend to solve every kind of AI displacement at once.

  • Now

Listen to companies and map the work

Discuss how roles are changing, what AI adoption requires, and where people with commercial and operating experience remain difficult to find.

  • Now

Define destination roles and skill gaps

Connect existing experience to specific AI-economy roles, then identify only the new capabilities needed for that move.

  • Next

    Test one complete transition

Choose a narrow worker and employer situation, test assessment and learning with real participants, and determine what placement and early-role support must do.

  • Later

    Launch what the evidence supports

Build the operating platform and partnerships only after the research shows which transition can produce useful outcomes for both sides.

The honest boundary

Research activity is evidence of work, not evidence that the model already works.

This distinction matters to the people the project may eventually serve.

No launched program

The public site documents a project being developed for a future launch.

No announced partnerships

Company conversations are research. They are not presented as formal commitments.

No completed placements

There are no worker outcomes to report yet.

No proven impact claims

The mission describes the intended benefit. Later evidence must show what the project achieves.

Project documents

Read the current purpose and research plan.

These public working documents describe the project as it stands now. They will change as the research narrows the first launch.
